I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with four years of experience serving clients from a variety of different backgrounds and diagnostic categories. I feel confident when providing services to individuals and couples experiencing insecurity, shame, and disconnection. My greatest joy is helping my clients reconnect with themselves and their loved ones through exploration of early caregiver attachments, family roles, and unmet childhood needs. My ideal client is someone who feels as though their life is passing by without them; they feel a distance between themselves and the people or interests most valuable to them, and they have an inkling of hope that things do not have to remain the way they are forever. Clients have described me as warm, non-judgemental, and easy to talk to.

I use a mixture of attachment theory, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and Rogerian therapy to help clients develop the self-awareness and skills they need to manage their own lives. I have training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and enjoy using it to support parents of "kids from hard places" (adoption, foster care, etc.). I also do well providing a solution-focused approach, in which we can identify areas in your life that are not working for you, and come up with concrete steps to design the life you want to live.
