From the very first day I stepped into a psychiatric clinical setting, I knew my purpose was to be there for people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. I've always believed that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and support, especially when facing mental health struggles or substance use challenges. Over the years, I've had the privilege of sitting with individuals in crisis, listening to their stories, and helping them find hope and stability. My journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing at Emory University. After nearly a decade of caring for patients, I returned to Emory to earn my Ph.D. in Nursing so I could deepen my ability to serve others. For more than 25 years, I've worked alongside thousands of people, providing psychiatric assessments, managing medications, and creating treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
