Sheilla Brunelus is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with over eight years of progressive experience in behavioral health, clinical leadership, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. She currently serves as an IFI Team lead where she provides clinical supervision, oversees treatment planning, and ensures quality care for children, adolescents, and families experiencing complex behavioral health challenges. Sheilla has extensive expertise in crisis intervention, co-occurring disorders, substance use treatment, and intensive community-based services designed to prevent higher levels of care. She is highly skilled in program development, staff supervision, and maintaining compliance with clinical and documentation standards .
In addition to her work with youth and families, Sheilla provides behavioral health services in Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs), supporting older adults and individuals in memory care settings. Her approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive, with a focus on empowering clients and strengthening family systems. She integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention strategies to support sustainable change. Sheilla is passionate about coordinating care across systems, including families, schools, healthcare providers, and residential settings, to ensure holistic, individualized, and impactful treatment outcomes.
