Lisa Rasheed, PhD, DSW, LCSW
Licensed Therapist
I am a Georgia native who completed my education in the state and across the Southeast. I earned a Master of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University, a doctorate in Higher Education from Georgia State University, and a doctorate in Advanced Clinical Social Work Practice and Leadership from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I bring 30 years of diverse clinical experience across forensic, primary care, psychiatry, and public health settings.
As a clinician, I use a client-centered, strength-based approach with adults, whether working with individuals or couples. I blend cognitive behavioral therapy with humanistic and eclectic methods to foster collaboration, empowerment, and solution-focused care. I believe each person is the expert in their own lived experience and value building strong therapeutic partnerships that support meaningful growth and lasting change.
My approach reflects a whole-person care philosophy, recognizing the connection between emotional, physical, and social well-being. I emphasize practical knowledge, skills, and strategies that empower clients beyond the therapy session as they navigate adjustment challenges, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life transitions. Through compassionate, individualized care, I help clients build resilience and create positive, sustainable change in their lives.
