Jacqueline Burnett-Brown, PhD,LMFT, ASDCS, CSTIP
Licensed Psychotherapist
I am an inclusive therapist and ally, as well as a Desert Storm veteran with training in military neuropsychiatric medicine. After my military service, I taught high school and college courses while earning my PhD, where my research focused on the importance of multicultural environments in supporting positive mental health. In today's complex social and political landscape, I place a strong emphasis on inclusivity, belonging, and creating spaces where people feel safe, valued, and understood. I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, and I am committed to helping break down barriers that can stand in the way of healing and personal growth.
My approach to therapy is grounded in a systems perspective, recognizing that emotional well-being is shaped by the many interconnected aspects of our lives, including relationships, culture, identity, community, and overall health. Through a whole-person care approach, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the full picture of their experiences and support meaningful, lasting change. My work draws from psychoanalytic psychotherapy and restorative justice principles, and I hold certifications in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, psychosexual psychotherapy, and adult autism spectrum disorder evaluation and psychotherapy.
