Associate Professional Counselor

I believe that therapy is most effective when clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to create a warm, authentic space where you can safely explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I believe therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating. Instead, it should be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself while working toward meaningful change. I view therapy as a collaborative process, empowering you to lead your own journey toward healing and growth while I provide guidance, support, and evidence-based tools along the way. I have experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, mood disorders, identity exploration, gender dysphoria, disordered eating, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. I am especially passionate about serving marginalized communities and have extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Because every person is unique, I tailor treatment to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Transactional Analysis to help clients better understand themselves, recognize unhelpful patterns, build healthier relationships, and create lasting change. Above all, I value authenticity, curiosity, and a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe lasting growth happens when people feel supported, challenged, and empowered to reclaim control over their lives in ways that align with their own values and goals.

Ascend's whole-person care approach supports this philosophy by recognizing the connection between mental and physical well-being. By bringing therapy, psychiatry, and primary care together, I can be part of a connected team that supports the full picture of each patient's health while keeping their individual needs and goals at the center of care.

Brett M.

a man with his hands folded

I've dealt with many counselors over the years and it seems more challenging than ever getting anywhere. But my therapist here has literally brought some light into my darkness. Truly appreciate the time and efforts beyond words.

Rick H.

a man with a beard and glasses

I truly go through my virtual appointments feeling the same that I would if I was in person and that is most helpful.

Anna G.

a woman holding a tablet

I was unsure what to expect because I've never heard of Ascend before but was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Great communicators! Trauma informed and the accessibility and ease of the user interface was the cherry on top for me.
